Orthodontic treatment is the one dental decision people research for months. Here is what the options cost in Qatar, how long each takes, and the questions that actually decide between them.
Orthodontics is quoted per case rather than from a menu, because the plan depends on what your scan shows. An orthodontic consultation at Brite is 100 QAR and includes the assessment — that is the appointment where the real figure comes from.
Be wary of a quoted treatment price given before anyone has looked at your teeth properly.
The default, and still the most versatile: fixed brackets and a wire, adjusted at intervals. They handle complex movements that aligners struggle with, and they do not depend on the patient remembering to wear anything.
At Brite, metal braces are offered on instalments from 200 QAR.
Mechanically the same idea, with tooth-coloured brackets, so they are far less visible at conversational distance. They are somewhat more fragile and usually cost more than metal.
Ceramic braces are offered on instalments from 300 QAR.
Brackets that hold the wire with a built-in clip rather than elastic ties. In suitable cases this can mean fewer adjustment visits — which matters if taking time off work is the hard part of treatment.
Self-ligating braces are 6,500 QAR.
A series of removable transparent trays, changed as the teeth move. They are the discreet option and the comfortable one, and they come with a condition: they only work while they are in your mouth, typically 20–22 hours a day. Patients who find that unrealistic do better with fixed braces.
Clear aligners are 7,999 QAR.
Teeth move back. Retention is not optional, and it is a real cost that should be in your plan from the start.
A fixed retainer is 600 QAR per jaw. Clear retainers for the upper and lower together are 1,100 QAR. Replacing a broken bracket during treatment is 50 QAR.
Honestly: it depends on the case, and anyone who gives you a duration before seeing your scan is guessing. Mild crowding and a full bite correction are different projects.
What you can ask at the consultation is for the estimated range for your case, how often you will need to attend, and what happens to the timeline if you miss appointments.
Orthodontics is not only for teenagers — adult treatment is common. For children, the useful thing is an assessment at the right time rather than treatment at the earliest possible moment; some problems are easier to correct while the jaw is still growing, and others are better left until later.
If you are unsure, an assessment is the appointment to book, not treatment.
At Brite, metal braces are available on instalments from 200 QAR and ceramic from 300 QAR, with self-ligating braces at 6,500 QAR. The total for your case is confirmed after the 100 QAR consultation and assessment.
Clear aligners at Brite are 7,999 QAR. They suit patients who will genuinely wear them 20–22 hours a day.
Orthodontics is excluded from most policies in Qatar, or capped at a small amount, because it is often classified as cosmetic. Check your specific policy before treatment.
No. You can book the orthodontic consultation directly.
An assessment of your teeth and jaw alignment, imaging where needed, and a discussion of which options suit your case, with the cost and the likely timeline for you specifically.
